Meet Debbie and Emma...
Debbie qualified as a Dental Hygienist at Guy’s Hospital in 1999.
Debbie has enjoyed working in general practice and also working alongside a periodontist, providing specialist gum treatments, over the last 14 years.
She founded Toothypegs Club in 2007 & it ran successfully in Nursery, Primary & Junior schools & now is introducing the club into her practice in Sutton, Surrey.
In practice, Debbie has developed and offered Fresh Breath systems & has been nominated ‘Hygienist of the Year’ 2008-2010. Debbie is currently also providing dental whitening for home and surgery use.
‘I find my role as a hygienist very satisfying and very rewarding and continue to thoroughly enjoy my role within the dental team.’
Emma studied Health & Social Care and qualified in 1996.
She has worked as a professional child carer in private homes for the past 19 years. Emma also worked as a sleep trainer & night Nanny.
Emma decided upon a career change as she has always had a keen interest in dentistry. Emma now enjoys assisting & working alongside Debbie in practice. In addition, being part of ToothyPegs Club has given me a fantastic opportunity to combine my childcare experience & dentistry together.
